Just a few more things that have been going on this April.
Brynn stuck her arm in an ant pile.
Sidney got a new bunk bed set, that she and Brynn will share when baby 4 comes along.
Brynn discovered a love of fudge pops.
We always have to hit up Lane's Orchard for strawberries.
Gavin started playing baseball this month and I was a little worried about how it would go since our last experience was horrific. We changed to a more low key league that cares a lot more about the boys having fun and learning the game, than winning. Gavin's team practices less and has fewer games than the other leagues teams, but I have to say he has learned and improved so much more this season. This is due to the fact that he has been given the chance to actually play and learn the game.
It was a big surprise to me to see Gavin heading to the catchers position with all the gear on at his last game. I was not even aware that he was interest in the spot, but he had told his coaches that he was and so they let him take a turn there every game now.
He has also become one of the most consistent hitters on his team. He has been able to hit the ball and get on base every time he has been at bat so far, which has come as a surprise to me also. I know that sounds mean, but like I said he did not learn much from his last experience as a ball player.
He usually has a pretty good ready stance when he gets to play pitcher. I think this is what has really helped him become a better player. I have noticed that he is able to focus and pay attention more than a lot of the kids on the team. I am so happy that he is having a good time and learning to love the game. He may never be the biggest or fastest kid out there, but dang he looks good.
