Sweet Boy

Posted by Paul and Jenny Stoker

Ok, so I know that I am completely bias, but I just need to write this down for myself. Gavin is one of the sweetest boys I have ever known. He is very kind to others, mindful of peoples feelings and he is already very sensitive to the spirit. I know this because I have caught him getting emotional in primary when there has been a spiritual lesson.

I was impressed to write this down last night because of a few very sweet things Gavin said to Paul and I. Paul read a story to Gavin last night about a police man and his dog. At the end of the story it said that it was important to stick to your buddy. Gavin liked this very much because Paul calls him buddy all the time. After reading this part, Gavin jumped on Paul's back and said I will always stick to you because we are buddies.

My part last night did not start off very nicely. I had been feeling sick for most of this week and was still not feeling great last night. This made me very short tempered with the kids. But of course as soon as I put them to bed I started feeling guilty about how I had treated them. So, before they had time to go to sleep I made my rounds to say I was sorry and give another hug and kiss. When I went to say I was sorry to Gavin I gave him a big hug and kiss and asked him if he forgave me. He softly whispered in my ear that he would always forgive you.

I am so blessed to have this sweet boy in my life. He is an angel the Lord new Paul and I needed in our lives. He makes our lives very special and I wish I could stop time so that he would stay with me forever.  I know that this can not be, so all I can do is cherish each day and breath in every moment of sweet boy.
