Moving Day

Posted by Paul and Jenny Stoker

Well we got everything loaded up, except enough cloths for Gavin and me to get by on for a few weeks. Paul left for Georgia on Tuesday and him and Ben drove 22 hours straight to Louisiana, slept for a few hours and then continued on to Georgia. They arrived there today and hopefully will get a good nights rest tonight.

Gavin and I will follow in an airplane on the 11th of October at which time we are officially no longer Arizonans. I am sorry that I will not be here for Gary's homecoming or for my brother Jeds wedding, but I think we will have to get use to missing somethings now and then. With families the size of ours there seems to be something going on about once a month.

Gavin has obviously noticed that things are changing, he notices all of our stuff is gone (except our beds). Gavin wont sleep the night through anymore in his room, I think because it scares him now that it is so empty. But I cant say that I am sorry he sleeps with me in my bed, because I have to say it is weird trying to sleep alone.

We will miss all of our family and friends here in Arizona, but we are definitely looking forward to our adventure in Georgia and hope to make new friends there. All I can say is that I am very thankful for the church at this time, since its like there are already friends waiting there for us and that in an unfamiliar place one thing never changes and that is the gospel.

Good luck in Georgia! I'm sad we wont see you when we come out to AZ in November. It's very true the gospel has helped me as well this year adjusting to moving and all...

I thought you were staying. When I saw you on Monday at Grandpa's I didn't realize it was going to be the last time I'd see you for awhile. Well I know how it feels to move and to live away from family. It can be hard at times but it is also good because it brings you little family unit closer together. I will miss seeing youguys and I know Georgia will be great. Good Luck with everything. Keep in touch and update lots.
